Slow Cooker Apple Crisp


6 apples – peeled and cut into 1/2 inch slices (about 6 cups)

1/2 cup sugar

2 Tbsps flour

1 tsp cinnamon


1/2 cup flour

1/2 cup old-fashioned oats

3/4 cup brown sugar

1/4 tsp salt

1/2 cup cold butter – cut into 8 pieces


Place apples in large bowl, add sugar, 2 Tbsps flour, and the cinnamon.  Stir until apples are evenly coated.

Spray 4-5 quart slow cooker with cooking spray.  Place apple mixture into slow cooker.

In large bowl, mix the topping ingredients using fork or pastry blender to cut cold butter until crumbly.  Sprinkle over apples.

Cover and cook on high for 2 hours.

Turn off heat, remove cover and cool for 30 minutes

Serve warm (add a scoop of ice cream if desired)
